Crescendo’s Pathways Programme works with youth aged 15-24. The majority of the youth are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and whilst they do vary in background they all have one thing in common, they are disconnected. Disconnected from themselves, their whanau, their community or traditional education system. The Programme has an all-inclusive kaupapa which works with a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures but which is honoured that the majority of our rangatahi are of Māori and Pasifika cultural descent.
Following Crescendo’s move to Te Puna in November 2024, they will be launching a new creative vocational pathway – The Content Creation Apprenticeship, providing the biggest and broadest connection to both the creative industry and beyond. Almost all companies are looking for content and the demand is only growing. Creative Henderson Massey will be supporting the set up of their creative learning projects within the new Content Creation pathway. The Henderson-Massey area is projected to grow in both the target age-group numbers and current ethnic diversities represented among Crescendo participants.
“Crescendo’s Apprenticeship Programme will encompass new creative disciplines that will support the growth of cultural diversity in the creative industry and with the combination of soft and technical skills, see individuals thrive into sustainable careers.”
Zoe Erickson, Crescendo
2025. The programme will run annually, reaching approx. 15 rangatahi in the 24/25 year, and 100 in the 25/26 year
