Creative Henderson-Massey is an initiative from the Henderson-Massey Local Board to support and enable community-led arts activities throughout the Henderson-Massey area. It involves having an Arts Broker, whose role is to identify, curate, programme and enable community arts activities.
“It all starts with a conversation about what you want to do – from there, together we work out what advice or support you need, so get in touch!”
– Creative Henderson-Massey Arts Broker, Renée Tanner.
The Arts Broker works with local artists and creative organisations to offer support in the development and delivery of their creative ideas and projects, whether this be assisting with funding, marketing, or helping to find the right location or people to work with. The Arts Broker is interested in hearing from you and learning about your creative projects, even if they are just an “idea”. It could be dance, film, craft, visual arts, music, kapa-haka, spoken word, digital arts, a publication, a performance or an exhibition.
The Arts Broker works with you to support you in developing and delivering your creative project or idea, whether this be assisting with funding, marketing, or helping to find the right location or people for you to work with. The Arts Broker uses their own knowledge and experience to provide you with advice, assistance and support.
The current Arts Broker is Renée Tanner. Read more about Renée here.
When you get in touch with Renée, make sure you let her know:
Each year Creative Henderson-Massy puts a “call for proposals” out, for those seeking funding support via our annual contestable funding round.
If you missed our Call for Proposals, or weren’t ready to put in a proposal, please do still get in touch with us, as the Arts Broker can also support you in seeking funding from other sources at anytime, whether this be grants, crowdfunding or sponsorship opportunities.
Keep an eye on our NOTICEBOARD and Facebook Page, and sign-up to our newsletter to learn of funding opportunities and more..
